Mrs. Emma Strange, age 79, of Cabot, Arkansas, died Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2013.
Mrs Strange was born Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1934, in Wingo, Kentucky to Troy and Hattie Louise Hopkins. She was the oldest of six children.
She attended Fulgham High School in Fulgham, Kentucky, graduating in 1953. She met her husband, Carl Strange, of 60 years in Fulton, Kentucky and was a proud military wife of 21 years, supporting her husband and family. She enjoyed sewing, spending several years as a seamstress to an elite boutique in Tucson, Arizona. Emma was a wonderful cook and Thanksgiving was her favorite meal to prepare.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Strange of Fort Worth TX and Kacee (Strange) Vojdani of Rogers, AR, and three grandchildren Tara Carmical, Andrew Carmical and Lucas Raney and one great grandchild, Jaelynn Carmical.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki (Strange) Carmical, her parents Troy and Hattie Louise Hopkins, and brother’s Willis Hopkins and Junior Hopkins.
A Memorial Service will be held at Moore Funeral Home, 700 N. 2nd Street, Cabot, Arkansas, 72023 on Monday, November 29, 2013 between 4-6 pm.

Mr. Henry “Deno” Minor, age 60, of Fulton, KY died early Thursday morning
at the Parkway Regional Hospital ER in Fulton, KY.
He was a member of the New Beginnings Ministries, Jacksonville Lodge # 50,
Free and Accepted Masons (Prince Hall Affiliated), Fulton Tourism Board, was
a avid golfer and fisherman. He owned and operated Deno's BBQ in Fulton,
KY. He was a United States Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife Valarie Minor whom he married January 10, 1986
in Hickman, KY, one daughter Lai (Andre) Brooks of Arlington, TN, four
brothers; John (Diane) Minor of St. Louis, MO, William (Valarie) Minor
of South Fulton, TN, Carl (Darlene) Minor of Union City, TN, Johnny
Davis of Chicago, IL, four sisters; Helen Ann (Allen) Dickerson of
South Fulton, TN, Dorothy Jean Minor of Holladay, UT, Annie Lee
Minor of Kankakee, IL, Wanda Fay Minor of Milwaukee, WI, one
grandchild Armani Brooks of Arlington, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Ethel Mae
Pritchard Minor, one sister Alice Mae Burton and four other siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday at the Fulton City High
School in Fulton, KY with burial to follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. Friends
may call the Fulton City High School from 12 Noon Saturday until the funeral hour.
There will be masonic and military services conducted at the cemetery.
Ms. Carla Owens, age 51, died at Haws Memorial Nursing home in Fulton, KY.
Carla Beth Owens of Fulton, KY and formerly of Murray, KY passed away
Tuesday, December 3, 2013 after a long illness. She was born on July
31, 1962 to the late James (Jim) Owens and Marjorie Puckett Owens.
She was of the Methodist faith and was an avid UK fan, she was a 1980
graduate of South Fulton High School and attended UTM where she received
a Bachelors Degree. Her employment in Fulton, KY included Head Start,
Evenstart, Fulton School System, Laurel Center and the Murray, KY
Head Start. She most worked recently as an advocate for domestic violence
victims at the Merryman House in Murray, KY. She participated in many
organizations in the Murray area in support of the Merryman House and
its clients. She was a resident of this area most of her life.
She is survived by three sisters; Cathy Owens of Clarksville, TN,
Shannon Owens of Centerton, AR, Sharon Hendrix of South Fulton,
TN; nieces Shayla (Stephen) Cosby of Rogers, AR, Shelbi Hickerson
of Bella Vista, AR and Chrissie (Jed) Clark of Lynnville, KY. Her much
beloved great nieces and nephews, Emma Grace Cosby and Rylan James
Cosby of Rogers, AR, Vivi Cate and John Campbell Clark both of Lynnville,
Memorial services will be held at 1 pm Saturday in our funeral chapel
with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends

Evelyn Coffey Burcham, age 89, of Hickman, KY died
December 3, 2013 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.
She was a homemaker and had been a member of the First Baptist Church
in Hickman, KY for the past 57 years; was a past member of the Order
of the Eastern Star. She loved to sing for weddings, funerals, special events
and to write poems. She lived most of her life in Hickman, KY.
She is survived by one son Dennis (Quretha) Coffey of Hickman, KY,
one daughter Bonnie Poynor of Hickman, KY, four grandchildren; Keith
Poynor of Tampa, FL, Kristi Looney of Paducah, KY, Rob Coffey of
Hickman, KY, Brenna Ray of Union City, TN, five great grandchildren;
Taylor Looney, Lauren Looney both of Paducah, KY, Jack Poynor,
Jaynie Poynor both of Tampa, FL, Stowe Ray of Union City, TN, a
special friend Wilburn Allen of Fulton, KY and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Stowe L. Coffey and Elbert
Burcham Jr., her parents William Emanuel Martin and Ardeth Louise
Wheatley Glasner, one brother William Emanuel Martin Jr. and a sister
Patty Jo Fish.
Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, Dec. 7 at the First Baptist
Church in Hickman, KY with interment to follow in the Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 am Saturday until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Doris Faye Potts Callis, age 72, of Martin, TN died Monday,
December 2, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital
in Jackson, TN.
She was a member of the Mt. Pelia Baptist Church, was retired from Goodyear
Tire & Rubber Company where she worked in the final finish department. She
lived in Martin most of her life.
She is survived by her husband James E. Callis, three sons; Jimmy W.
(Julie) Callis, Stephen G. Callis, Scott N. Callis all of Martin, TN, four
