Mrs. Carolyn Martin, age 70, of South Fulton, TN died
early Tuesday morning at Baptist Health of Paducah.
She was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church, was a homemaker
and lived all of her life in this area.
She is survived by her husband Harold Martin of South Fulton, TN;
two daughters Angie (Mike) Fowler of South Fulton, TN, Rhonda
Koon of Martin, TN, one sister Ann Morrow of Martin, TN, three
brothers Kenneth Brown of Union City, TN, Larry Brown of Martin, TN
Harry Nash of South Fulton, TN and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Vergia Reynolds
Brown, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday in our funeral
chapel with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial

James Howard Hutchens
Mr. James Howard "Hoot" "Hutch" Hutchens, age 82, of Fulton, KY passed
away Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center
in Mayfield, KY with his family by his side.
He was born to the late Robert and Cynthella Lowery Hutchens on March 15, 1931
in Fulton County, KY. He retired from the Fulton Electric System in 1993 after 31 years
as a lineman and foreman. He enjoyed his family, reading, was a loyal fan of the Kentucky
Wildcats basketball and St. Louis Cardinals. He was a charter member of Parkway Church
of Christ and was a past deacon. He also was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict
and a member of the American Legion. He grew up in Hickman and graduated from Hickman
High School in Hickman, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey Cathey Hutchens of Fulton, KY, a daughter
Cathey Lynn Hutchens Mulcahy (Charles) of Fulton, KY and a son James Kevin Hutchens of
South Fulton, TN; Five grandchildren Melanie Mulcahy Gunn of Fulton, KY, Robby Mulcahy
of South Fulton, TN, Mitchell Mulcahy of Fulton, KY, Emily Hutchens Gallimore of Union City,
TN and Bradley Hutchens of Union City, TN; Seven great grandchildren Taylor Cantrell, Owen Gunn,
Charles Michael and Audriana Mulcahy, Cameron and Carson Gallimore, Elizabeth Mulcahy and
several nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond and John Hutchens, one sister Laverne
Bequette, three half brothers Calvin,Dave, Dewey Hutchens, three half sisters Meda, Tina
and Pansey Hutchens.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, December 12 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel
with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call the funeral home
from 5 to 8 Wednesday and anytime Thursday until the funeral hour.

Henry “Deno” Minor
Mr. Henry “Deno” Minor, age 60, of Fulton, KY died early Thursday morning
at the Parkway Regional Hospital ER in Fulton, KY.
He was a member of the New Beginnings Ministries, Jacksonville Lodge # 50,
Free and Accepted Masons (Prince Hall Affiliated), Fulton Tourism Board, was
a avid golfer and fisherman. He owned and operated Deno's BBQ in Fulton,
KY. He was a United States Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife Valarie Minor whom he married January 10, 1986
in Hickman, KY, one daughter Lai (Andre) Brooks of Arlington, TN, four
brothers; John (Diane) Minor of St. Louis, MO, William (Valarie) Minor
of South Fulton, TN, Carl (Darlene) Minor of Union City, TN, Johnny
Davis of Chicago, IL, four sisters; Helen Ann (Allen) Dickerson of
South Fulton, TN, Dorothy Jean Minor of Holladay, UT, Annie Lee
Minor of Kankakee, IL, Wanda Fay Minor of Milwaukee, WI, one
grandchild Armani Brooks of Arlington, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents John Henry and Ethel Mae
Pritchard Minor, one sister Alice Mae Burton and four other siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Saturday at the Fulton City High
School in Fulton, KY with burial to follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. Friends
may call the Fulton City High School from 12 Noon Saturday until the funeral hour.
There will be masonic and military services conducted at the cemetery.
Ms. Carla Owens, age 51, died at Haws Memorial Nursing home in Fulton, KY.
Carla Beth Owens of Fulton, KY and formerly of Murray, KY passed away
Tuesday, December 3, 2013 after a long illness. She was born on July
31, 1962 to the late James (Jim) Owens and Marjorie Puckett Owens.
She was of the Methodist faith and was an avid UK fan, she was a 1980
graduate of South Fulton High School and attended UTM where she received
a Bachelors Degree. Her employment in Fulton, KY included Head Start,
Evenstart, Fulton School System, Laurel Center and the Murray, KY
Head Start. She most worked recently as an advocate for domestic violence
victims at the Merryman House in Murray, KY. She participated in many
organizations in the Murray area in support of the Merryman House and
its clients. She was a resident of this area most of her life.
She is survived by three sisters; Cathy Owens of Clarksville, TN,
Shannon Owens of Centerton, AR, Sharon Hendrix of South Fulton,
TN; nieces Shayla (Stephen) Cosby of Rogers, AR, Shelbi Hickerson
of Bella Vista, AR and Chrissie (Jed) Clark of Lynnville, KY. Her much
beloved great nieces and nephews, Emma Grace Cosby and Rylan James
Cosby of Rogers, AR, Vivi Cate and John Campbell Clark both of Lynnville,
Memorial services will be held at 1 pm Saturday in our funeral chapel

Mary F. Jackson, 60, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning, December 25, 2013, at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY with her husband and children by her side.
She was born November 12, 1953, daughter of Charlie C. & Lillie Mae Jones. She was a faithful member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Chester Jackson of Columbus; son, Lee Jackson (Tiffany) of Columbus, KY; daughter, Karen Anderson (Terry) of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Justin and Julie Jackson, both of Columbus and Joshua and Jared Anderson, both of Clarksville, TN; 3 sisters, Betty Allen (Gerry) of Arlington, Sue Adams of Florida and Jean Trapp of Lawrenceburg, TN and 3 brothers, Rowland Jones of Bardwell and Eugene (Loetta) and Jesse Jones (Glenda) both of Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Billy Jones and Blanton Jones.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 28, 2013 at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. David Gossum officiating. Burial will be at Columbus Cemetery following the service.

Mr. Bobby Wells “Buddy” Riley, age 74 of Clinton passed away 8:38 PM Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Baptist Hospital of Paducah. Buddy was a supervisor at General Tire.
